USEFUL INFO FOR VISITING
Tickets can be purchased in advance through the website which has a lot of excellent information on it. The museum and grounds are self-guided, but if we want a more 'behind the scenes' experience that needs to be arranged in advance. Example of 'behind the scenes' is access to the archives, blacksmith demo, and access to the papers of writer Laura Ingalls Wilder. I forgot to ask if there was an additional fee for those and actually just thought of it. In total it can be about a 2 - 2 1/2 hour visit depending on what a person wants to do/see.
