Carvings finish is worn and needs refurbish as well as case.

Uses two 440g. Weights but got a 330g as a bonus in the listing.

Pendulum not securely fastened. Shaped new nails and attached more firmly. Also lightly steel wool stick so pendulum slides easier.

Painted carvings (face, top, pendulum) with custom mix paint from Ace. Stained case with Minwax cognac stain.

Chains, rings, hooks cleaned with vinegar/salt solution. Hooks and rings have no brass left or did not come clean and will need to be replaced.

Face carving glued back together and reinforced with metal wire and putty.

After oiling clock runs great, but bird does not move. Trip wire appears stuck somehow. Call works with right bellows (from rear) in, but left hangs up with door open and bellows open.

After searching NAWCC forum, found a post that explains that lift wire length can cause this. Built test wires from spool of steel wire until I got the proper length and then adjusted the originals to match.

Second cuckoo call was a touch long and slow, bent lift lever slightly down and that made it sound right (too small of an adjustment to do by lift wire length).

A note per a response on the NAWCC forum:

Salomon Duffner KG was a cuckoo clock maker in Triberg. The company started in 1936 and was liquidated in 1954. Not a great deal seems to have been recorded about this company, apart from the fact that, in 1936, they advertised a wall clock in the form of a black forest house, from which a chimney-sweep looked out of the chimney every two minutes. How popular this proved to be is not recorded.
