Wow...it's been a long time since I updated the site.  Between working extra hours (at my money-making job) and going to city and state bowling tournaments, I haven't made much progress lately.  Just some putzing around with a few of the pieces removed from the engine compartment.  I had the heater motor completely done, and it looked great,  But when I tried to rivet the mounting flange on, I scraped up the paint on half of the case, so I had to completely strip it down and start over.  It's almost ready again.  This time I'll use screws.  It won't be original, but it'll be easier.

Next weekend, Randy and I are planning on yanking the front suspension out and tearing it apart.  It's really easy to remove the entire suspension...just two bolts through the frame member on each side, and the whole thing slides right out, crossmember and all.

Here's a "before" shot of the heater blower motor.

Another view of the heater blower motor.

Here's the internals.  It also shows how the mounting bracket is riveted on.

This shows the base of the heater box and the mounting of the fuel line.

These are the rails for the seats.  They were really rusty.  I have them all cleaned up and painted now, but I'm not sure if they will be strong enough to be used, they were so rusty.

Another shot...

This shows the hood catch and latch.

Another view...

Again...

Here's the seat rails after cleaning.

Here's the internals of the heater motor, showing the positioning of the plastic standoff between the plastic brush carrier and the laminated motor plates, and the springs on the other side of the brush carrier.

Another view...

Here's the "after" shot...it could almost pass for new!

Here's the speedometer cable right angle drive and the brake line junction block and sensor.  Randy cleaned these up for me and I clear coated them.
