Finally...another update!  I'm not going to add much text, but I've attached several pictures taken over the past 3 weeks.  One of the problems we're having right now is the window mechanism in the right door.  The opening in the top of the door that the window comes up through is 1/4 inch narrower than it is on the right side (check out the last 2 pictures).  This means that the window moves out into the outer door skin as it moves up the channel, to the point that it can't go up any farther.  I'm not sure how I'm going to fix that.  On the positive side, I installed the rubber hose on the fuel filler.  I managed to bend the inlet to the tank a small amount with a 2x2.  I want to try to bend it a little more, but if I can't, I think it'll work the way it is.

What the heck's going on here?

Huh?

Oh, I see.  It's my brother, hooking up all the wiring and brackets for the dash.

Here's the LED indicator for the alarm...a great way to plug that pesky hole in the dash for the overdrive switch.

Here's the innards (is that a word?) for the headlight dimmer switch.  It wasn't working so I tore it apart, cleaned it up, bent a couple of tabs, greased it, and put it back together.  It works like a champ!  The trouble is, I ground the cap off off it, and I didn't need to...everthing came out the bottom.  So now I have to figure out how to re-attach it.

This is the plate that actually does the switching.

This is part of the spring loaded switch mechanism...

...and the contact plate.

Here's the car with the fenders, doors, and grille installed...starting to look like a car!

And a side view.

Doesn't this 1800cc power plant look great??

It's almost a shame to drive it.....not!

This shows the gap at the top of the right door...3/4 inch.

And the gap on the other side is 1 inch...I don't know how to fix this...
