I've been doing more cleaning and priming the last few days. I
removed all the rust and paint from the radiator diaphragm and its mount
braces, as well as the windshield washer bottle bracket and base.
All these items were in pretty bad shape, but really cleaned up well.
The base of the washer bottle all gooed up with some sort of undercoating
that had been sprayed into the engine compartment, which needed to be cleaned
up with gas. I also took inventory and marked the parts I ordered
from Victoria British last
week, which came in today.
Here's the radiator diaphragm, before cleaning and painting.
This shows the position of the passenger's side radiator brace...
...and the driver's side radiator brace, complete with add-on horn (built
in Italy).
Here's the windshield washer bottle bracket and base in the car.
A before shot of the windshield washer bottle base.
And a couple of before shots of the windshield washer bottle bracket.
