Well, it's sure been a long time between updates.  I've gone through stretches of doing a bunch of work at times, and not much at times, but I'm still plugging away.  I don't have any new pictures, so I thought I'd discuss some of the things I've been working on.

Windshield
I found a guy that runs a small machine shop that said he could make the small steel brackets that are riveted to the top piece of the frame.  These brackets hold the side pieces to the top frame, and they were badly rusted, and no longer available from either Moss or VB.  I took it over to him over 2 weeks ago, so I need to check to see how he's doing.  I finished buffing all the pieces to the windshield frame, so once he's done and the new glass gets here (it was ordered on 1/25) I'll be able to attempt to put it back together.  I've read that it is extremely difficult, so that should be fun.

Seats
I finally ordered new seat leather.  It's here and I've tried installing it without much luck.  I've pretty much decided that I'll take them down to a place in Swisher that works on British cars.  They say they've installed several leather seat kits, so I think I'll let someone with experience do it.  I'm just about finished restoring the other seat frame, so I should be able to run them down to him soon.

Battery Cover
I restored the battery cover to the point of needing to be sprayed with clear coat.  When I did that the same old "bubbling" problem I've seen before occurred, so I had to strip it back down tonight, and sprayed it with primer. I should be able to get it completely painted in the next couple of days, so I can try the clear again.  I've tried several different things to alleviate the problem, but nothing seems to work.  I just seems like whenever it decides to bubble, it bubbles.

Hood
When my brother-in-law started working on the hood, he found out that it was quite wavy. He said it's hard to repair that sort of thing in aluminum so we decided it was best to get a new one.  Moss sells 3 different hoods:  the original OEM aluminum hood ($600), an OEM steel hood ($400), and an after-market steel hood ($120).  They said the cheap one is made in Taiwan and they've had a lot of trouble with people returning them because of a bad fit, so I decided to get the OEM steel hood.  It's already at the body shop.

Fuel Tank
After waiting 3 months, the new tank finally arrived.  But I put it right back in the box and shipped it back.  They packed it in a box just big enough for the tank with little packing.  They had the bottom of the tank right up against the box with no packing between, so naturally the bottom was all dented up.  I told them to replace it if they can get it to me in the next few weeks, and if it will be in good shape.  Otherwise I told them to refund my money and I'll find one elsewhere (do you still have yours, pnr?)
