Well, I finally got some new pictures taken. Didn't do too much real work tonight. I did finish cleaning up the starter solenoid and the fuse block. I might have outsmarted myself on the fuse block...I bent the tabs on the back of the connection pins, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get them back on correctly. It might come in handy to have a spare!
Here it is...the nearly completed engine!
Here's the voltage regulator...it turned out pretty nice.
Here's the fuse block with one terminal block removed. I removed
all but one to clean them, so now I have to figure out a way to put them
back in.
Another shot of the fuse block.
Here's the starter solenoid.
Again.
Remember this? It turned out looking nearly new! Here's
the before shot.
Again.
And here's another piece that went through quite a transformation.
It's the brake and clutch master cylinder mounting frame. Here's
the before shot.
Again. These items were all stripped to bare metal and primed
with a self-etching primer, so they should stay nice looking for quite
awhile.
Here's the brake and clutch pedals (before
shot).
Another shot of one of them. The clutch pedal will probably need
to be replaced. The small hole at the top that engages the master
cylinder is enlarged and oblong.
